s part of National Film Day, which falls on March 30, films about diversity will be screened in different regions across Indonesia from March 21 to 30.
Organized by the Culture and Education Ministry's Film Development Center and 10 local film communities, the event is set to take place in Ambon, Banda Aceh, Bandar Lampung, Bandung, Cilacap, Denpasar, Kupang, Medan, Palangkaraya and Sukabumi.
Short, feature and documentary films are slated to be screened during the event, but the titles have yet to be announced.

Kompas.com reported that the event aims to offer easier access to the public to Indonesian films. “These top films are worthy of appreciation by the public,” said film director and National Film Day celebration committee head Lasja D. Susatyo.
In addition to film screenings, discussions and workshops were also scheduled, including the Film & Art Celebration (FILARTC) program that concludes the celebration event on March 30 to April 1. (mas/kes)
