Ronaldinho has transferred from FC Barcelona to AC Milan, he Italian club announced late Tuesday.
Milan said the Brazilian playmaker would arrive in Milan on Wednesday for a medical exam and sign a contract through June 2011.
Terms of the deal were not announced, but the Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan paid euro 18.5 million (US$30 million) for Ronaldinho, and will pay him euro 6.5 million (US$10.4 million) per season.
A two-time FIFA World Player of the Year, Ronaldinho has been seeking to leave Barcelona since new coach Pep Guardiola said that the playmaker was surplus this season.
Ronaldinho scored 91 goals in 200 appearances in his five seasons t the Camp Nou, and helped lead Barcelona to consecutive Spanish league titles in 2005 and 2006, and the Champions League
trophy in 2006.
At Milan, he will join fellow Brazilians Kaka and Alexandre Pato in the Rossonero attack.(**)
