Artika gets ready to marry

JAKARTA: Miss Indonesia 2005 Artika Sari Devi is getting ready to marry her fiance, singer Baim, in August, having already ordered a wedding gown from noted celebrity designer Anne Avantie.

"Yes, she has talked to us. But the details of the design are not known yet," the designer's assistant, Nani, told detik.com on Tuesday.

A tabloid recently reported Artika, who also played in noted filmmaker Garin Nugroho's film Opera Jawa (Javanese Opera), will marry Baim, a former vocalist for Ada Band, next month.

The couple reportedly had pre-wedding photos taken at the National Archive Building in Central Jakarta.

The report said that the actress, who is a law graduate from Gadjah Mada University, has asked Anne Avantie to make a long wedding gown from suede with golden patterns resembling royal clothes from the past.-- JP
