Your comments on the election of Made Mangku Pastika as Bali governor and what he should do to keep Bali a leading international tourist destination
First, he must keep his new government clean of corruption. Second, all the efforts should focus on making Bali the nicest place to live in. Third, he has to govern with a sincere heart that is in favor of the people.

Governor Pastika should immediately improve the road drainage system, sidewalks for pedestrians, sewerage and security. He should also enforce building permit regulations.

I feel at ease to learn that our brothers and sisters in Bali have wisely elected Made Mangku Pastika as the new governor. I hope that our frequent Bali tourists will share my idea that Bali should be greener; the mangrove would be preserved; and there should be no more bombs used for fishing if we want to preserve coral reefs for tourists.

Mangku Pastika must preserve a strong dedication to the multicultural spirit of Bali, and not let any religious sect -- especially those which want to force their shallow beliefs on others -- disturb the peace. Respect for multiculturalism and religion are the beauty of Bali.
