Nigerian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Abdul Azis Dankano paid a visit to several small-scale industries in Katulampa, Bogor, on Tuesday.

The ambassador (see photo, right) said he made the trip to learn firsthand about feasible development of small and medium enterprises.

Abdul said Nigeria was going to cooperate with Bogor regency in the fields of energy, communication, trade and investment.

The head of Bogor's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Radjab Tampubolon, said "In our future trade cooperation, we hope to market our products in Nigeria as well as receive theirs here."

The small and medium enterprises visited produce mainly handbags, but they also produce leather goods, such as shoes, sandals and jackets. Other small industries produce herbal products, cassava chips and taro chips. --JP/Theresia Sufa
