Traveling around Asia, and especially within the nation, has become even better now that AirAsia has abolished fuel surcharges on all its flights starting Nov. 12.
AirAsia said that it is offering 500,000 free seats for domestic and international travel between June 22 and Oct. 24, 2009, with winners to pay nothing but airport tax and administration fees.
Based in Malaysia, AirAsia is so far the only carrier to waive fuel surcharges, which inflates the actual price of a ticket.
As part of its promo, it is also offering special prices for domestic flights from Jakarta to destinations like Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Batam, Makassar, Padang, Pekanbaru and Bali.
"We only provide direct flights to Malaysia and Thailand from Jakarta, but an array of destinations can be reach directly from Kuala Lumpur, including China, India, Australia and Vietnam," said Widijastoro Nugroho, the marketing distribution director of PT Indonesia AirAsia. -JP
