Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez won reelection and a new endorsement of his socialist project on Sunday, surviving his closest race yet after a bitter campaign in which the opposition accused him of unfairly using Venezuela’s oil wealth and his near total control of state institutions to his advantage.
Your comments:
Everybody with a sound mind knows the election was rigged yet again.
Newspapers were threatened and many closed down and the only articles printed had to be given approval by Chavez’s supporters. People who attempted to vote against Chavez were intimidated with guns, or the threat of losing their jobs.
And this is a person praised by our Hollywood elite, a self-proclaimed president/dictator for life.
No wonder the educated with means have been leaving the country to live in free societies without the government taking everything and giving nothing.
