A Trigana aircraft reportedly lost contact during a flight from Jayapura to Oksibil, Papua, on Sunday.

The plane, piloted by Capt.Hasanudin, was scheduled to arrive in Oksibil at 3:15 p.m. local time.

Papua Police spokesperson Sr.Comr.Patrige said in Jayapura that the aircraft, which departed from Jayapura at 2:22 p.m, had not arrived in Oksibil.

The Jayapura-Oksibil flight normally takes 55 minutes.

Patrige said the Trigana plane had 49 people on board, including five crew members.

The crew comprised pilot Capt.Hasanuddin, co-pilot Aryadin, mechanic officer Mario and female flight attendants Ika and Dita. (ebf)
