Prabowo and Albanese exchanged warm wishes in a jovial phone call on Sunday, with the President saying that he was delighted at Albanese’s “big win.”
resident Prabowo Subianto has extended his congratulations to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his re-election following a decisive victory in the country's federal election last Saturday.
Prabowo and Albanese exchanged warm wishes in a jovial phone call on Sunday, with the President saying that he was delighted at Albanese’s “big win.”
“I’m very, very happy for you,” Prabowo told the PM, to which the latter replied: “Thank you, my friend.”
Albanese then asked for one wish from the President, which is for Indonesia to host the PM’s first official visit.
“That would be a huge honor,” Prabowo said, confirming that he would set up the schedule.
Albanese highlighted the importance of Australia and Indonesia’s bilateral relationship during the call, noting that the two “have an unbreakable bond”.
